Monks Walk for Peace - Aloka the rescue water color art

The "Monks' Walk for Peace" is a multi-state pilgrimage by Buddhist monks, originating from Fort Worth, Texas, walking to Washington, D.C., to spread messages of loving kindness, compassion, and unity, not as a protest but as a spiritual journey to raise awareness for world peace, with local communities supporting them by providing food and water. This recent 2,300-mile walk (starting Oct 2025) involves around 20-24 monks and their dog, Aloka, inspiring massive social media followings and community gatherings along their route, emphasizing mindfulness and shared humanity.
